Grandparents in the educational process

This bachelor's thesis concerns relationships of grandparents and grandchildren. The theoretical part focuses at the relationships from grandparent's and child's point of view. It describes the role of grandparents in education, interactions of children and grandparents and transformation of the relationship depending on the age of the child. The thesis also examines grandparents in the role of important adult and in the concept of intergenerational learning. There is a presentation of my research project in the second part. This project is focused on the transformation of the grandparents and grandchildren relationships along with the age of the children, and different expressions of the relationships depending on the grandparent's sex.

This bachelor's thesis occupies itself with relationship between significant adults and development of adolescents. Theoretical part describes basic characteristic of these relationships, social development of adolescent, fundamental concepts and selected outcomes of relationship. In the second part is presented my research project. This project is focused on basic characteristics of these relationships in Czech republic and possible connections between these relationships and academical self-efficacy.
Significant adults in the evolution and development of children

This thesis deals with problematics of influential adults in evolution and development of children. Theoretical part contains a summary of studies on this subject and their results. A goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a summary of possible significant adults and to compare effect of significant adults in and out of the family. Empirical part includes a suggestion of quantitative-qualitative research, which should contribute to better understanding about the notion of a relationship of a child and its influential adult in the Czech Republic. The research is oriented on children from grades six to nine. Using questionnaire and interview we investigate the basic characteristics of this relationship, which is, for example, the frequency of a contact or the content of time spent together.

The comparison of the educational environment of groups of adolescent girls with and without conduct disorders

The presented thesis deals with the comparison of the educational environment of adolescent girls with and without conduct disorders. It concentrates primarily on the educational environments of family and school, in respect of their importance for the socialization of the individual. The theoretical section first briefly characterizes the adolescent period in its bio- psycho-social aspects. Furthermore it is dedicated to the issue of conduct disorders, their classification, symptoms, but also the etiology or specifics of these problems in girls. In conclusion, it offers insight into correlation between different characteristics of the educational environments and conduct disorders with a focus on the specifics in girls. The empirical part then aims to compare the educational environment of girls with and without conduct disorders through twenty detailed case studies of girls aged fourteen to eighteen. One half of the studies concerns with girls placed in institutional facilities, because of their problematic behaviour. The other half is focused on girls without educational troubles. The educational environment of adolescent girls with bahviour disorders

The diploma thesis deals with the educational environment relating to the development of conduct disorders in adolescent girls. These are mainly the educational environments of family and school, in respect of their importance for the socialization of the individual. The theoretical part first briefly characterizes the adolescent period in its bio-psycho- social aspects. Further it deals with the issue of conduct disorders, their classification, manifestation, but also the etiology or specifics of these problems in girls. In conclusion it offers insight into correlation between different characteristics of the educational environments and conduct disorders with a focus on the specifics in girls. The empirical part of the work aims to map the possible relationship between conduct disorders in girls and educational environment by the form of ten detailed case studies of girls aged fourteen to sixteen placed in institutional facilities. Both qualitative and quantitative methods have been used for this research. The diploma project contributes to understanding the psychological context of the problematic development of adolescent girls and brings new data into the wider monitoring project of educational environment in adolescents.
